Terms of Use
Last updated August 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of Syllabase. By continuing, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Notice.
1. Eligibility and region
You must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States or Canada. You must provide accurate eligibility information and use the service only in compliance with applicable law.
2. The service
Syllabase provides a guest gradebook stored on your device and optional account features for syncing, syllabus extraction, review, saving, and export. The service is currently provided without user subscription charges. We do not promise that every feature will always be available.
3. AI limitations and your responsibility
AI-generated extraction may omit, misunderstand, or invent information. You must compare all dates, weights, requirements, and schedules with the original syllabus before relying on or saving them. Syllabase is an organizational aid, not an official academic record or advice from your institution.
4. Your content
You retain your rights in syllabus files and course information you submit. You grant Syllabase limited permission to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service. You must have authority to upload the material and should remove unrelated personal or sensitive information.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the service unlawfully; upload malware or content you lack authority to process; attempt to bypass access, regional, age, quota, or security controls; probe other accounts; automate abusive requests; or interfere with the service or its providers.
6. Accounts and termination
You are responsible for activity under your Google-authenticated account. You may export or delete your account in the app. We may restrict or terminate access when necessary to prevent abuse, address security risk, comply with law, or enforce these terms.
7. Availability and changes
We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features. Material changes to these terms or privacy practices will require an updated notice and, where required, renewed acceptance before continued authenticated use.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or extraction accuracy. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded in your jurisdiction.
